Gotta love the Internet for the way information travels. Take this case, for example: some sharp-eyed surfer noted California Representative Howard Kaloogian's web site had a picture of Baghdad, Iraq along with some text indicating how "calm" and "stable" the city was.
This picture was posted on discussion forums along with questions about its validity. Pretty soon, the puzzle was solved: this wasn't a picture of Baghdad, but of Istanbul, Turkey.
My first reaction was to think "mix up", but with a picture lauding the "calm" of the scene, on a page discussing Iraq & Afghanistan, how did a picture of Istanbul get in there?
Smooth move, Kaloogian campaign team. Way to score one in the integrity column.
